Arabian Gulf (Apr. 13, 2003) -- Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Kelly Poelstra from Bellflower, Calif., prepares to load an AIM-20 "AMRAAM" air-to-air missile onto a skid in order to transport it to an aircraft aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are conducting combat missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein. More than 239 of those images have been sent to the Joint Combat Camera Center at the Pentagon, where they are made available to the public.
