America’s fallen servicewomen are being honored all over the United States through an innovative program called the Love Offering. Initiated by the National Association of State Women Veteran Coordinators (NASWVC) in 2005, the Love Offering program has become a yearly event for the NASWVC; and several veterans and community groups throughout the country have adopted it. During a Love Offering, participants make a donation in a special envelope that bears the rank, name and service of one of America’s fallen servicewomen. Donations are forwarded to the Women’s Memorial Foundation where they are recorded in each woman’s Memorial record. All you need to get started is some plain, white envelopes and the desire to honor our fallen sisters. For a listing of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom casualties, visit our Tribute to Our Fallen Sisters in our 2008 Women’s History Month Kit or contact Public Relations at hq@womensmemorial.org or 703-533-1155 or 800-222-2294.
