To
me, Montauk Hospital and the whole camp was like a bad dream.
I had to use surgical shirts for sheets and improvise many
others. The water supply was inadequate and we were unable
to get enough to give them [patients] much needed Baths. No
laundry work done for days and soiled clothes were piled up.
