Anyone with information about Beverly Benson, who enlisted in the Army in, I think, Lynchburg, VA, and was stationed at the Army Finance Center in Pine Lawn, MO, between 1951-52. She then went overseas to Tokyo, Japan, where I lost touch with her. LT Asselin was assigned to the 42nd Field Hospital and was with either the 1st Platoon, which was supporting the 28th Infantry Division from a chateau in Wiltz and, or the 2nd Platoon, which was stationed near Walferdange, Luxembourg, and supporting the 83rd Infantry Division. Trying to confirm that LT Asselin was the "young, blonde and beautiful" nurse with whom German General Fritz Bayerlein, Commanding General of the Panzer Lehr Division, stalled his advance to Bastogne in order to flirt.
