Anyone who knew any of the 46 WAACs or WACs who died in aircraft accidents during WWII. They include: PFC Emma Jane Burrows Windham, of San Antonio, TX, who died when another plane crashed into her B-17 in England in Mar 1945, and the 25 WACS killed May 1945 when 2 C-47 transports crashed, one in New Guinea on May 13, and one in the Atlantic on May 30. CPL Margaret Hastings survived the first crash. No one survived the second; SGT Doris Cooper of Chicago, was that flight’s senior WAC; the junior WAC was PVT Pearl Roomsburg of Los Angeles, CA.
