Anyone with information regarding Doris Marie Vance, an Army nurse from Parsons, KS, who served 1942-46, probably as a flight nurse. Her service record lists her as being with the Air Force and later she worked for the State Department as a public health nurse in Indonesia where she died in 1954. Anyone with information about Phyllis Raynor (spelling unsure) who I believe was stationed at Ft Monroe, VA, in Oct 1959 and had a baby at Langley AFB, in Hampton, VA, that she subsequently gave up for adoption to Jacob and Maggie Ellis. After my adopted parents died, I learned Phyllis had tried to contact them many times during my early youth, attempting to see me or have a relationship with me. I was told by my sisters that Phyllis was believed to be from PA. I was also told that my birth father’s name is David Manbeck. I do not know how much of what I have been told is actually true.
