Anyone with information about PVT Sharon Kay Campbell, a WAC, who was in basic training at Ft McClellan, AL, Delta-1 platoon, 1963. She originally came from Janesville, WI, and I came from Brookfield WI--we got a kick out of that and the fact that our first and middle names were the same. After basic, Sharon was shipped out to Ft Jay, NY, and I never heard from her again. Six of us gals are still in touch and we'd love to hear from her. Anyone with information regarding my mother, Ruth Anna (Steinkamp) Bowen, originally from Huntingburg, IN. She served in the Army Nurse Corps from Oct 24, 1942, to Feb 13, 1946. She was with the 27th Evacuation Hospital (Italy, France, Germany) and also the 132nd Evacuation in Germany. She enlisted along with Dr. Wallace and other nurses from Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville, IN, and was attached to a unit from the University of Illinois.
