Anyone with information about any of the original 200 women from Puerto Rico inducted into the battalion of Puerto Rican WACs during Apr 1944. They attended basic training at Ft Oglethorpe, GA, and served together at the New York Port of Embarkation in New York City, NY. Please contact Javier Morales at jibaro46@juno.com or 797-566-4235.

Anyone with information about Billie Jean Leland, born in 1943. She served with my very much loved and missed mother, Carol (Shepherd) Phelps. You were her best friend when she was taken from us in 1987 when I was just over a year old. I never got to know her and never knew about you until recently. You truly are my only connection outside my family who knew her and I want nothing more than to hear your stories from when you worked together at Walter Reed Medical Center. I just want you to know how much comfort it brought me to read your letters you sent to my grandmother even after my mom was gone. Anyone with information about Erma Louise (Garner) Woodward, who served from Mar 1943 until the end of the war. She enlisted in Atlanta, GA, in Mar 1943 and attended basic training at Ft Dix, NJ.
