Welcome to the Dear Servicewomen, Women Veterans, Supporters and Friends, The countdown to the 10th Anniversary is underway! As we approach the celebration dates of November 1, 2 and 3, the Foundation staff is busy working to make the many necessary arrangements for each of the events. We are eagerly looking forward to celebrating with each and every one of you at this historic event. Thank you so very much for completing the survey included in the last edition of The Register and on the Web site and getting it back to us so quickly. Your responses have been very helpful in planning for the celebration Tenth Anniversary Reservation packets were sent via traditional mail. If you have not received it, the information is posted here for your convenience. Please download, print and complete the Reservation Form and return it with your remittance to: Women's Memorial Foundation, 200 N. Glebe Rd., Arlington, VA 22203. Please do not use any of our other addresses as it will delay reciept. I ask that you complete the Reservation Form even if you are only attending free events so that we are sure to order enough chairs and other necessary items to accommodate everyone who attends. YOUR RESERVATION MUST BE MAILED BY OCTOBER 12, 2007, to reach us in time to make all of the arrangements. Tickets will not be mailed. We will have check-in at the door for all paid events. However, if an e-mail address is provided, we will confirm receipt of your Reservation Form and payment. We have also recently posted a 10th Anniversary Event Information sheet accessible via the 10th Anniversary Information Resources below. You may want to download, print and keep this PDF file with your travel information and use it as a handy guide for event dates and times, locations and other helpful information. As I've said before, I wish that we could accommodate attendees at the same levels we did a decade ago with hotels, transportation and a variety of activities. A lot has changed, however, in 10 years with the airline industry, hotel policies, security concerns as well as the seemingly ever-increasing cost of everything associated with events—all of which make similar amenities cost prohibitive. What I do promise is that we will do everything in our power to make this an event for you to remember as one of the most memorable of your life. We are looking forward to celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Women’s Memorial dedication with you. Have a wonderful and safe trip to Washington, DC. See you November 1, 2 and 3! |

If you are able to make a donation at this time, however, it would be of tremendous assistance in completing the Vietnam exhibit, the film and the new glass tablet quotations as well a number of other projects that will keep your memorial fresh and encourage visitors to return again and again. You’ll find a donation form in the package. Thank you.
