Writing Workshop Scholarships Offered to Servicewomen

The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, MD, is now accepting applications for the Ann Darr Scholarship for deserving writers who wish to take workshops offered by the Center.

If you are a woman veteran or an active duty servicewoman, you can get a scholarship to cover the cost of tuition for one writing workshop. Additional scholarships are available for those applicants who re-apply and/or receive instructor recommendation.

To apply, send a 1-2 page cover letter that discusses your military service experience and your specific goals and aspirations. Applications should be emailed to Charles Jensen at charles.jensen@writer.org or postmarked by February 15, 2010, to Charles Jensen, Director, The Writer’s Center, 4508 Walsh Street, Bethesda, MD 20815.
