Women's Memorial—A Popular Event Venue

Beyond its primary missions of honoring the some 2.5 million women, past and present, who served the nation; and telling the story of women's service to the American public, the Women's Memorial is a visible and viable part of both the military and local communities.

In 2009 the Memorial hosted 228 formal military ceremonies including retirements and promotions and 35 flag unfurling ceremonies. The Memorial was also the site of 60 professional development seminars, symposiums, education programs, meetings and activities, as well as theater productions and film debuts.

In addition to formal military ceremonies and meetings, the Memorial is available for a variety of large and small events including luncheons, dinners and receptions; galas, weddings, corporate functions and theater programs.
