Women’s Memorial Reception, 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
The reception, “A Salute to the Women of World War II,” will gather WWII era women from across the nation—servicewomen, cadet nurses, USO, Red Cross, Special Services, factory and office workers and many more—in a celebration of their remarkable service to the nation. Joining these WWII patriots will be government officials, members of Congress, senior military leaders, and corporate, community and veteran service organization leaders. The evening will combine military ceremonial elements and remarks by special guests, along with entertainment, WWII era music, food, and a special tribute to the battlefront and home front heroines of that period. WWII era servicewomen and those who served with the military or in the factories, offices and fields in support of the war effort have been invited. If you are a WWII servicewoman and have not received an invitation, please contact the Women’s Memorial at 800-222-2294/703-533-1155 or email@example.com. To assure adequate seating and refreshments, RSVPs are required and should be made to 703-288-8696 or WW2salute@hayespr.com.
