The Women In Military Service For America Memorial will mark the 6th anniversary of its dedication with a formal ceremony and musical concert on the Memorial's outdoor Court of Valor on Saturday, October 18, 2003. The concert, which features the American Balalaika Symphony, an extraordinary 50-piece orchestra performing folk to symphonic music in the best of Russian and American traditions, will be followed by a reception and the cutting of the anniversary cake.

The event, which begins at 2 PM, is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending should call 800-222-2294 or 703-533-1155 to reserve a seat. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the Memorial.

The Women In Military Service For America Memorial is the nation’s only major memorial honoring all servicewomen, past, present and future. Located at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery, it is readily accessible by Metro (Blue Line). Paid parking is available at the Arlington Cemetery Visitor Center.
