The Women In Military Service For America Memorial will mark the 7th anniversary of its dedication with a formal ceremony and musical concert at the Memorial on Sunday, October 17, 2004. The concert, which features the American Balalaika Symphony, an extraordinary 50-piece orchestra performing folk to symphonic music in the best of Russian and American traditions, will be followed by a reception and the cutting of the anniversary cake. The Women In Military Service For America Memorial is the nation’s only major memorial honoring all servicewomen, past, present and future. Located at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery, it is readily accessible by Metro (Blue Line). Paid parking is available at the Arlington Cemetery Visitor Center.
