Discover amazing stories of patriotism and courage in the individual
experiences of servicewomen from the American Revolution to the present.
Meet these women face to face, listen to their stories, ask them questions
and uncover clues to find out who these women really are. Learn about
the past and how the events of yesteryear affect our lives today.
Dressed For Battle is one in a series of two-hour special educational
“Just 4 Kids” programs hosted by the Women In Military Service
For America Memorial Foundation. Covering a variety of topics and involving
various activities, the series is designed to familiarize attendees with
the responsibilities of citizenship, American history, patriotism and
women’s rich heritage of service. All events are open to the public
and run from 2 to 4 pm at the Women’s Memorial. The cost is $2 per
student per program and children must be accompanied by an adult (adult
