Students dig through the past, experience the present and uncover America’s long-forgotten history on a scavenger hunt through artifacts, photos, exhibits and much more. As an added bonus, they’ll learn about patriotism, symbolism and the women who’ve served in America’s defense for over 225 years. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes for indoor and outdoor activities. It promises to be a fun-filled afternoon!

Hunt Through History is one in a series of two-hour special educational “Just 4 Kids” programs hosted by the Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation. Covering a variety of topics and involving various activities, the series is designed to familiarize attendees with the responsibilities of citizenship, American history, patriotism and women’s rich heritage of service. All events are open to the public and run from 2 to 4 pm at the Women’s Memorial. The cost is $2 per student per program and children must be accompanied by an adult (adult companions are free).
