Women’s Memorial to Celebrate Veterans Day |
|
The annual Women’s Memorial Veterans Day ceremony
will be held at 3:30 p.m., Nov. 11, 2007. The ceremony, one of three
major observances in the nation’s capital, is free and open to
the public and will include formal military honors, a keynote address,
veterans’ remarks, and a wreath laying. The Women In Military Service For America Memorial is the nation’s only major memorial honoring all servicewomen, past, and present. Featuring an exhibit gallery, theatre, Register of women who have served and a gift shop, the Memorial is open to the public, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily.
