The Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation is hosting a Tribute Luncheon in honor of America's World War II servicewomen at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2004. "First Lady of the Press," former White House Bureau Chief Helen Thomas is the special guest speaker for the event, which is being held at the Women's Memorial, the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery. The luncheon is part of the celebratory activities commemorating the dedication of the World War II Memorial and the only one to specifically pay tribute to the some 400,000 women who served during the war.

The Women In Military Service For America Memorial is the nation’s only major memorial honoring all servicewomen, past, present and future. Featuring an exhibit gallery, theater and Register of women who have served, the Memorial is open to the public, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily and is readily accessible by Metro (Blue Line). Paid parking is available in the Cemetery's Visitor lot.
