State Donation Program

The State Donation Program allows individual state governments to donate to the Women's Memorial in memory of and tribute to the women from the state who have served or are serving. Each state that donates to the Memorial is listed on the Women's Memorial Honor Roll of States. Thousands of women veterans and volunteers have endeavored to obtain financial support from their states for the Memorial, and have met with state legislators, governors, and staff to promote state legislation authorizing donations, special state grants and donations from Governors' funds. Each of the fifty states have joined the Honor Roll of States, for a grand total of $1,418,973; this figure includes multiple state donations made by Virginia, Colorado, Georgia, Rhode Island, Oklahoma, Maryland, Connecticut, Florida, North Dakota and Minnesota.
