9/11 Eleven-Year Commemorative Photography Exhibit
Opening Event—August 11, 3:30-7:00 p.m.
“Still Standing – Still Free”, a photography exhibition marking the 11-year anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Pentagon, is set to open Aug. 11, 2012, at the Women In Military Service For America Memorial, with a reception and formal program starting at 3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. In addition to a formal program featuring renowned tenor Antonio Giuliano, the event will include discussions with the artists and other special guests related to the 9/11 Pentagon attack.
Featuring some 40 select images taken at the Pentagon on 9/11, some of which have never been presented to the public, “Still Standing — Still Free” includes the work of Greater Washington DC area professional photographers Sean Kelley, Joe Pisciotta, Stephen Jaffe and Bob Pugh. The photography exhibition will be at the Women’s Memorial through Sep. 15, 2012.

The Women In Military Service For America Memorial is the nation’s only major memorial honoring all servicewomen, past and present. Featuring an exhibit gallery, theater and Register of women who have served, the Memorial is open to the public, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily.
